2011 OPEN BOOK - Bowmar Appraisal held the 2011 Open Book on Thursday, June 2nd.  Residents who object to their assessment had to file an objection form and make an appointment with the Clerk prior to the Board of Appeals meeting held on June 8, 2011.  No one appeared.

STORM WATER DISTRICT SURCHARGE. A separate line item on the 2010  tax bill, Storm Water District, Code 6 SACDRAIN DITCHES, was funding for the Storm Water District.  The funds raised by this $12.50 per tax parcel surcharge will be used to address flooding issues in the town.  It should be emphasized that even with this charge, the mill rate for the Town's taxes in 2010 was the same as it was for 2009, 1.13.

For 2011 the charge will be rolled into the general tax levy and not shown as a separate special assessment amount on the tax bill.
