Town ProfileThe Town of Black Wolf is situated in east-central Wisconsin, in Winnebago County, WI and covers approximately 16 sq. miles; it is bordered on the east by Lake Winnebago. Our Highway Department is responsible for maintaining approximately 32 miles of roadway. The Town is one of seventeen communities that comprise the Appleton-Neenah-Oshkosh Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), the third largest and fastest growing metropolitan area in the State of Wisconsin. The Town has a population of approximately 2,500. The "new" Town Hall was completed in April, 2001, and has two conference rooms, general offices and a garage. It is used for meetings, elections and other civic and educational functions. TOWN HALL OFFICE: Regular hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays from Noon to 5:00 p.m.; there is a deposit box at the front door area. Zoning Administrator Tom Verstegen is available on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; his cell phone is 379-3081. Call for appointments. Building Inspector Dave Frank is available on Tuesdays, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; other times by appointment only. His phone number is 233-1999.
PLEASE NOTE: Now that the Town Hall maintains regularly scheduled open hours, all phone calls should be directed to the Town Hall (unless there is an emergency). Messages will be taken and forwarded to the proper individual or department, thus eliminating the need to contact Town Officials at their homes.
SANITARY DISTRICT: The Sanitary District Office for the Town of Black Wolf is in a separate building located on the corner of Black Wolf and County Road R. There is a drop box at this building for payments, etc., located on the front door of their building.
